Australia's leading supplier of Ceramic Sinks and Range Cookers

In a world full of mass produced products our objective has been to specialise in products that are unique, everlasting and recognised for being the best available. To that end we have searched for the true classics that are either handmade or hand-built to complement the heart of every home.

Durable Fireclay Sinks for Kitchen and Laundry

Some of the designs in our Fireclay range were first introduced over a 100 years ago, made by hand from porcelain or China clay. Now, these light clays are seen as only suitable for use in bathrooms as they won't stand up to the knocks and heat that a kitchen sink or laundry trough has to withstand. Still handmade, a heavier, denser clay (Fireclay) is used to create beautiful, domestic quality sinks.

An unhurried process that was first used over a century ago

Each Fireclay sink is hand made.
This means that the measurements may differ slightly to the sizes shown.

- Allow a tolerance of + or - 2%. This tolerance is very important when cabinetry is to be manufactured for any of our "Belfast," "Butler", or "French Farmhouse" type sinks.

- Always have cabinets and bench tops built around your sink.

- No two sinks are ever alike. Each sink has it's own unique quirks. These quirks are not faults, but are indicative of man-made ceramics and should be looked on as individual character in each piece.

- Large enough to fit trays or racks that won't fit into the dishwasher and perfect for food preparation - the vitreous enamel surface is resistant to all household stains and acids. A quick wipe with detergent and soft cloth will leave the sink sparkling.

Take a look at our FAQ section for more helpful hints. Together with our range of Taps, especially made for these types of sinks, you'll find a combination that will stand the test of time.

Granite Sinks: Impact, Thermal, Heat, Scratch, & Stain Resistant.

We can't mention our Granite sinks without mentioning their maker, Carron Phoenix.
Founded in Scotland in 1759, they started out as an iron foundry, famed for making the cannons on Nelson's flagship, HMS Victory. Over 200 years later they have evolved into the world's leading manufacturer of granite sinks.

In a variety of sizes, styles and colours they can be used to complement any kitchen - modern or traditional. Each sink carries a Lifetime Manufacturers Warranty against scratching, staining, heat, thermal shock and chipping.

As you would expect from a company who's pedigree reaches so far back, some of the tests that Carron Phoenix carry out on their granite sinks are the equivalent of 50 years use. During the manufacturing process 80% quartz crystals are mixed with a resin. This is then injected into special moulds and kiln fired at over 1000 degrees. The end result is a sink virtually made of rock.

Tested to extremes of temperature, battered, beaten and shocked, our Granite sinks reveal nothing but lasting beauty.

Because it's a completely sealed, hard, hygienic surface that won't scratch, stains can be removed by simply washing the sink with a soft cloth and dishwashing liquid.

If, for example, beetroot has been left on the sink and the juice has dried, then we recommend using a 3M Scotchbrite scourer and a cream such as Jif to remove the mark. Don't worry, the sink is a lot harder than the scourer, so you're not rubbing back the surface of the sink, you're simply scouring the mark off the surface. Again take a look at our FAQ section for more tips.

Lacanche Cookers

Staying true to our commitment to have some of the best products in the world available in Australia, we are proud to have been appointed sole distributors of a range of cookers that have been derived from a professional restaurant range.

Made in a small town in the heart of the Burgundy region of France, the Lacanche factory is located in an old foundry dating back to the eighteenth century. The brand has only been on sale to the general public since 1992 and previous to that, was only available to professional chefs in restaurants, bistros and hotels. As you would expect, chefs demand the highest standards and insist on the very best equipment. Now you too, can enjoy cooking on a Lacanche cooker.

Because of its commercial heritage the cookers benefit from the following attributes:

* Robust construction ensures that your Lacanche cooker is a purchase for life.

* Very powerful yet highly controllable burners that provide fast preheating times.

* Ease of cleaning. The cooking hob is made from a single piece of 1.8mm thick, 18/10 gauge stainless steel with lipped edges to prevent spills. The cast iron trivets and burners can removed in seconds to permit the hob to be wiped clean. The interior of the oven is made of vitrified, heavy duty, acid-resistant enamel with no dirt traps to collect grease. Control knobs and the ends of rails are made of solid, cast or forged brass.

* Flame failure safety to cut the supply of gas in the event of the burner going out.

* Fast heating, precisely controlled electric ovens with no complicated digital timers or programmes.

The models, entirely manufactured in France, are enamelled in traditional fashion and are available in a range of 10 modular models. Stainless steel & Black are standard colours whilst French Blue, Burgundy, White & Sunflower Yellow are available as an option. To this day Lacanche has maintained the tradition of bespoke manufacturing so you must allow an 8 to 12 week delivery time from placing an order.
